No Good News

I'm sorry to keep posting bad news, I do wish I could post something a little more positive. We are hearing things like, "..you just don't know what's going on in this country.." and, "we're working with the facilitator regarding your case" and, "we'll let you know when we know something"....These statements are just not good enough for us. Maybe we expect too much?? We certainly don't think so; we think we are entitled to some answers at this point. Had they been honest up front about our submission date, I'm sure we wouldn't have a problem. All we want are some concrete answers and we're not getting them. It's so very frustrating right now. We are hoping to follow some advice of fellow bloggers, but that takes time to actually follow through on. In the meantime, we sit full of uncertainty and wait (I HATE that word!!!).
On the up side -- we are getting out of dodge again this weekend to spend some time with Truman's parents in IN. We enjoy visiting them and especially enjoy the time spent with our nephews!
Thanks to all who have sent words of encouragement our way!

I'm so sorry! I was hoping to come and read some good news. You guys have been in my prayers. I just can't understand why able and willing families can be given such the runaround. I hope you guys have a great visit.

I absolutely know how hard the waiting, frustrating communication, and country issues can be. Hang in there and know God has a plan for your family. Thanks for your encouragement on our blog - I've loved having this little blogging adoption community. Hoping for great news for you guys soon.

Hi Susan,
I have been reading your blog. My Husband and I have adopted two children. We adopted our son from Russia and our Daughter from Ukraine, We brought daughter home in Jan. 2007. It took us 21/2 years with her. Our was with Paper work here and then we found out that the SDA was closeing for while and reopend. Anyway I was about ready to change my mind about doing it. Then we got our Date for our SDA meeting. We found our daughter. Hang in there. We will be praying.
We adopted our daughter from Odessa.
Our son is adopted from Russia.

Still checking in for an update. Our agency rep is in Ukraine right now, we hope to hear by next week if we have 2008 travel dates! Knowing that God has a plan and yet not having things makes sense is hard to bear at times! May God grant you peace, and a travel date!

Hang in there God knows who your child will be. It is very hard to wait. I am in the same boat. Hate waiting. I keep remainding myself that if I rush above Gods plan my boys will may not be ready. God know when your childrens file will be at the SDA. I will pray for you.

BTDT!! Oh, how I hated redoing medicals. Ugh. You can do this, and you will be so glad when it is complete. I still don't understand why everything had to take so long, but I know God had plans in there and was working on us and our boys. Just keep venting and persevering! :) :) (The venting is, in my opinion, really necessary. It helps tremendously to have a place to vent the frustration!)

Thanks for posting on our blog. I sure am hoping you get some good news real soon. I know how difficult it is to wait and I feel for you. Know that God is working on your behalf to connect you with the children he has chosen for your family. When you meet the children, it will all come full circle just how detailed God is in His selection. I still marvel as this miracle when I look at my Son everyday. Your adoption is truly a miracle!
